Jamaica Carnival

Jamaica Carnival is one of the social highlights of the year uniting all cultures and sectors to one lively party. Starting at Easter weekend and going right through till the Sunday after Easter this is a week of non-stop partying across the Island. Dance to the pulsating rhythms of soca Music, learn the latest dance steps and enjoy the floats and costumes of the road march. Hotels in Ocho Rios tend to book out at Easter as this is where the carnival kicks off so book early if you wish to join in the fun.

 Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival

A chance to see top performers for across the world on 3 nights of great Jazz and Blues music. The event is held in Montego Bay in late January and is popular with both locals and oversees visitors alike.

 Ocho Rios Jazz Festival

A week long event held in Ocho Rios mid-June each year this is the place for true Jazz fans. Artists from around the world play at different venues both day and night with many jazz legends headlining events.

 Reggae Sumfest

Held in Montego Bay in July each year this annual event boasts Jamaica’s top reggae Artists as well as a selection of international artists. The event lasts 1 week and includes Beach Parties, Old hits, 2 International Nights and one Dancehall night.

World Cup Cricket 2007>

One of the largest events to be held in Jamaica, world cup cricket matches are being held at different venues across the Island as well as the other Caribbean Islands.. For all you cricket fans this is a not to be miss event and for all the wives take the opportunity to soak up the Jamaican sunshine.  Jamaica is hosting the opening Ceremony and warm up matches so book early as tickets are going fast. Back in 2006 after a long absence Reggae sunsplash has found a new home in Ocho Rios, St Ann. The event will unfold over four nights of music which will encompass, Dancehall, Worldbeat, International, and Singers nights. Sunsplash has a reputation of bringing the world the best reggae music and now that it has returned its legend will go on.
